West Coast Challengers was graciously invited and honored to attend the Chariots So Cal Car Show supporting the YMCA. Club member Kim, who’s father is a member of the Chariots So Cal car club, coordinated this event for our club as well as helping make it possible for us all to attend this evening car show. Popular with club members last year, West Coast Challengers held its 2nd Annual “Cruisin’ thru the Canyons” event which began with club members meeting up in Orange, CA, just to the west of the first of the many canyons the club would be cruising through. Club members met up in varying locations, from the Inland Empire members meeting up in Corona, CA, to our Los Angeles members meeting up in the South Bay. West Coast Challengers took advantage of the JPL open house, where JPL and NASA opens their doors, invites the public in, and makes available its employees to answer questions from the public. This was a two day event, and we were told that, for a few hours, many were turned away because the facility had reached maximum occupancy. Luckily for us, we have a club member who works at the facility and he directed us to the best place to park. We drove in and drove out without so much as a problem, which was fantastic. Read more …
