West Coast Challengers attended the 9th Annual Rotary-CARE Show in San Juan Capistrano this weekend. Some 20+ club members rolled out in support of both the San Juan Capistrano Rotary Club and local animal shelters and pet adoptions through the CARE Foundation (Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort). This event is an animal friendly event so club members and spectators alike brought their pets to enjoy the festivities along with their owners.

The CARE Foundation is near and dear to the club as many of our club members work in the veterinary and animal shelter fields helping animals.

The club met up not far from the event location and when everyone was present and accounted for, we formed one long line of Dodge Challengers, and rolled through the streets of San Juan Capistrano at sunrise.

Once at the event, the main group lined up and began the final prepping of our cars and setting up while at the same time taking in the number of vehicles at the event. It’s always great to see what new modifications the club members have done to their cars once the hood are raised.

The Challengers always prove popular at any event the club appears at, and this event was no different with throngs of people passing by, taking pictures and asking the club members about their cars. Even a 5-year-old can’t pass up taking a picture of the retro styling of the Dodge Challenger.

The weather for the event was near perfect and several club members won some of the many prizes being raffled off, making for an end to a great day.

Pictures of the day can be found in our club photo gallery.
