West Coast Challengers once again participated in the annual “Salute to Veterans” parade in downtown Riverside, CA. This is a club favorite event and popular among the members.

Club members met up beforehand in a nearby parking lot for preliminary staging and some final detailing of our cars.

After giving the cars a quick detail and getting some last minute event updates from the club President, the club members rolled out in a designated order. The parade group then caravanned over to the parade staging area where our cars were lined up and put on display while waiting for our turn to roll onto the parade route and into the parade.

Once again, this years’ parade had thousands of spectators lining the parade route and when our parade group of Challengers came into view, the crowds waved their American flags and broke out in cheer as we passed by. In turn, the club members revved their engines to the pleasure of the crowd.

The club members who were not actually participating in the parade with their cars had fun on the parade route watching the many floats, drill teams, marching bands, and military vehicles pass by. All through out the day, vintage military aircraft would conduct fly overs right down the main parade route which left everyone in awe.

Batman and the famous Batmobile also made an appearance in the parade.

After the parade, the club members caravanned over to a local restaurant for some lunch and to share parade stories with each other.

A short video of the club passing by on the parade route can be seen above.

West Coast Challengers is once again honored to have participated in “Salute to Veterans” parade this year, and we are extremely grateful for the sacrifices of both the men and women who have served in our armed forces as well as the sacrifices made by their families.

More photos from the parade can be found in our club photo gallery.
