In the true sense of the word “club,” West Coast Challengers drove in from the Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties areas and enjoyed a nice caravan to Bakersfield, even seeing other Challengers along the way.

With members all throughout California, West Coast Challengers took a road trip to sunny Bakersfield to join our local members there at the All American Powered Car show hosted by the Mopars of Bakersfield car club.

As soon as the club arrived, we were given a warm welcome and thank you by the hosting club, Mopars of Bakersfield, and by the staff of the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

After settling in, it was a mad dash to wipe off all the bugs from the road trip. West Coast Challengers club members quickly set up an EZ-UP and then walked around looking at all the great cars this show had to offer before the heat started to kick in!

After finding some relief in the air conditioning of the Crest Bar & Grill restaurant, we headed back outside to check our raffle tickets and waited to hear who won the trophies. Judging was difficult with so many awesome cars, but West Coast Challengers was honored to win four awards, including the Club Participation trophy! As usual when we win a club participation award, all the club members that attended the event have their name placed into a hat and the name drawn wins the trophy, theirs to keep and take home! This time, it was club member Scot who took the honors and won the trophy. Congratulations to club member Kelly who won 1st place in the Best LX class with her Daytona Charger, club member Brandon who won 2nd Place for the Best Challenger, and club member Rene who won 1st Place for Best Motorcycle.

Overall it was a fun trip out of town spending it with our fellow West Coast Challengers members and being able to help out the local charities at the same time! Can’t wait for next year!
