With the holiday season upon us, West Coast Challengers club members met up to participate in a holiday White Elephant Party. Club members were asked to bring some obscure knick-knack from around their house, an old car part or new gift not valued over $25.00, wrap it up and place it under the Christmas Tree when they arrived. In exchange, the member would draw a number to determine their place in line.

After we arrived, we all ate lunch and enjoyed each other’s company and waiting for some late arrivals. The atmosphere was overly festive and already beaming with the holiday joy and excitement.

Once everyone had finished eating, the club member who drew #1 was asked to start things off by proceeding to the Christmas Tree to choose a gift and unwrapped it in front of all of the members. The club member who drew #2 either had the option of stealing #1’s gift or choosing a new gift from under the Christmas Tree. And on down the line it went, until — one lucky member unwrapped a brand new floor jack, which immediately sparked everyone’s attention. After that, the floor jack was getting stolen over and over again. It was rather hilarious and when someone’s number was called next, a shout of “Jack!” could immediately be heard as it was sad;y relinquished causing the newly jack-less club member to go back to the Christmas Tree to choose a replacement gift.

Around and around it went until the gifts were exhausted and under the Christmas Tree was bare. Still, laughing could be heard resonating throughout the restaurant just thinking about the Christmas party and how much fun it was.

Everyone is already looking forward to the fun next year.
