In what has become a favorite club event, West Coast Challengers held the third installment of its “Come Mod Your Car Day.” Club members brought their cars out to perform minor modifications in a park atmosphere among friends and fellow Mopar enthusiasts. In a revolving location to bring this popular event close to all of the members in the club at one time or another, this time, the event was held at Wardlow Park in Long Beach, CA.

Topping both the first and second Come Mod Your Car Days in terms of attendance, the members took to modding their cars. However, Julie’s new WebElectric sequential turn signal kit posed some problems which brought everyone around to lend a helping hand or to watch and learn. Julie, Leo and Rob took tools in hand to remove the entire taillight assembly for the install. The assembly put up a fight but was no match for the trio — and the dozen or so club members hovering around dispensing suggestions and advice.

After a few hours of modding our cars (mostly Julie’s), it was time to feed the hungry club members, so the group caravanned over to nearby Straw Hat Pizza in Long Beach where we discovered that the restaurant had laid out West Coast Challengers signs for the club in their team room in anticipation of our arrival.

As with the last Come Mod Your Car Day, several prospective members were invited to attend and all filled out applications for membership on the spot after spending time with the club. In fact, we had a line forming. All of which is a testament to all of the great members in the club that make everyone feel welcome from day one.

Another great event and club member turnout. Good friends, good food and good times.
