In what has become a favorite club event, West Coast Challengers held the fifth installment of its “Come Mod Your Car Day.” Club members brought their cars out to perform minor modifications in a park atmosphere among friends and fellow Mopar enthusiasts. In a revolving location to bring this popular event close to all of the members in the club at one time or another, this time, the event was held at Fairmount Park in Riverside, CA.

This club event keeps growing in attendance with each episode and the modifications most often being performed have already been done by veteran attendees of the event, which creates an almost assembly line like atmosphere as the owners together with assistance of other club members knock one modification out after another.

Karen’s new WebElectric sequential turn signal installation posed some problems which club member Scot, who works for JPL/NASA, was helping with. This sparked club member Julie to jester up the question, “How many rocket scientists does it take to install sequential tail lights?” :)

It was a rather warm day and luckily an ice cream truck came along and club members shared in some shaved iced to cool the moment. Then it was back to work and socializing.

Prospective club member, Tony, joined us for the event in his HPE 550 Hennessey Challenger, and club members all enjoyed spending the day with him and his friend. His joining the club would add to the ranks of the aftermarket editions of the Dodge Challenger, from the SMS, Hurst and now Hennessey.

After a few hours of modding our cars (surprisingly not Julie’s car this time), it was time to feed the hungry club members, so the group caravanned over to nearby Denny’s restaurant in Riverside the club members enjoyed the food and air conditioning after a warm, but enjoyable, day in the sun.

Another great Come Mod Your Car Day event and club member turnout.
