West Coast Challengers club members met up at Civic Center Park in Irvine, CA, for the seventh installment of what has become a club favorite event, “Come Mod Your Car Day.” This exclusive club event is where club members are invited to bring their minor modifications to install on their Dodge Challenger in a park like atmosphere with other club members who have performed the same modifications to assist in the install.

Over 30 club members began rolling into the park by 9:00 a.m. and quickly began discussing what modifications were going to be performed and which club members were going to help out with that particular modification. As the club members began dividing up for their particular tasks others huddled around to watch and learn, and to chat with other club members, including some of our newest members. All through the morning, one club Dodge Challenger after another rolled into the parking lot to participate in the event.

On this particular Come Mod Your Car Day, the club had several members installing the Web Electric sequential taillight kit, Mopar splash guards, Razor Edge strut bar, Mopar hood pins, special lighting and other minor modifications, all accomplished in a few short hours on the West Coast Challengers assembly line.

Club members took periodic breaks from performing their modifications throughout the morning to catch up with fellow club members, including getting to know some of the club’s newest members, while also getting the chance to see what other changes and modifications club members have done to their Dodge Challengers lately. The parking lot was filled with all types of Dodge Challengers of various models and Skittles colors in hues of red, yellow, orange, green, blue and more. Club member Tony brought out his 2009 HPE 550 Hennessey SRT Challenger and Kenneth drove his 2012 392 HPE 600 Hennessey, the first 392 Challenger built by Hennessey. New club member Marlon also brought out his striking 2013 Jazz Blue R/T Challenger.

After a few hours of working on our cars and visiting with friends, the club members caravanned over to In-N-Out Burger at the District in Tustin, CA, for some mmm, mmm, tasty burgers while visiting further with one another before heading our separate ways in anticipation of our next meeting at the 8th annual Spring Festival of LXs, one of the largest all modern Mopar events in the nation.
