West Coast Challengers held it’s first “Come Mod Your Car Day.” Club members were invited to bring their cars, their light modifications, a sack lunch, and smile for a fun day of modifying our Dodge Challengers in the park.

Club members met up under the trees at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, California, to install minor modifications like strut tower braces, shifter boots, catch cans, door panel piping, and just wiping down and cleaning our cars.

Kudos to new club member Julie, who took tools in hand to modify her own SRT Challenger. She installed a new Mopar strut tower brace, and the guys were more than happy to lend a helping hand.

The In-N-Out Burger truck came rolling in around 11:00 a.m. which offered the club members the opportunity to abandon their sack lunches for some tasty burgers, but, no one even stopped to eat. We were all having too much fun just helping each out with our cars to even notice the clock.

Off in the distance, thunder was heard all morning as we tinkered away with our cars and, at one point, we did have a short downfall of rain, but it passed through as quickly as it came lasting just a few minutes. Club member Andrew, unfortunately, had just literally finished cleaning and wiping down his SRT Challenger when the skies opened up on us. He had to start over, but do you ever really get tired of making your Challenger look good?

Our first “Come Mod Your Car Day” event turned out to be a huge success and was truly enjoyed by the club members. This is definitely an event that the club will be holding again in the near future.

A few more pictures from the event can be found in our club photo gallery.
