Over the past few months our parent organization has been in discussions with several fellow Challenger owners in the Phoenix, AZ, area, who are helping us start a Phoenix chapter of our sister club, Southwest Challengers. One of those helping in that endeavor is Dan, who let us know that he would visiting the Southern California area for a short time. After checking to see what all our club, West Coast Challengers, had going on this weekend, we sent Dan an e-mail with several event options, from a car show, a morning meet and greet event, and a short cruise which was put together on a moments notice in Dan’s honor. Come Friday, we lost contact with Dan, and having already set things in motion, the club decided to go ahead with the cruise.

Seven club members arrived at meeting location in Orange County on Saturday morning ready to cruise, and while at the meeting spot we finally heard from Dan. His wife’s car had broken down and they were at the repair facility bright and early, and in the process of arranging for a rental car. So, with Dan riding shotgun with us in spirit, the club members departed the meeting location and set off for the northern canyons of Orange County.

The weather was great and we all had an enjoyable cruise. We stopped for lunch at In-N-Out Burger, after which we reversed course and back tracked the way we had come, for a double dose of fun!

We assured Dan that we would catch him on his next visit and gladly gave him a rain check. :)

* If you are coming to visit the Southern California area and would like to do something with our club, please let us know. We always have events and cruises going on.
