We had a great time attending the Mopars by the Bay car show hosted by the Monterey Bay Mopars car club. We also had the opportunity to chat with the club members from CenCalLX, NorCal Challengers and the Bay Area Modern Mopars. They all had nice looking cars and I took so many pictures I don’t even know if I ran out of space on my camera or not.

We got to Monterey around 4:30 p.m., got settled in at our hotel and then went out to clean up our cars after the long drive. At around 7:00 p.m., we headed off to the meeting place for the cruise. If it wasn’t so foggy and misty, it would of been nicer. The cruise started at the wharf and headed down Highway 1, almost to Carmel by the Sea, and it ended at Cannery Row, which was nice for us because that’s where our hotel was. We made two passes and went back to our rooms and had some dinner.

The next morning, we went back to the staging area from the night before and waited for the gal to come around to instruct us where to park for the car show. It was in the middle of a courtyard in the state park. Really nice and right next to the wharf. We did our voting early so we could snap all of those pictures, and visit with the members of CenCalLX, NorCal Challengers and the Bay Area Modern Mopars (BAMM). At 2:45 p.m., we were all treated to a very bad Elvis impersonator and, at around 3:00 p.m., the awards ceremony began.

We all received a “sponsor’s favorite” trophy from a show sponsor, and after the awards presentation we were left with some more time to take in all of the beautiful cars and chat with their owners.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable day, and always a pleasure visiting the beautiful Monterey area.

Pictures from the event can be found in our club photo gallery.
