West Coast Challengers made an appearance at the Pioneer High School Alumni Car Show in Whittier. This was an unadvertised car show for the most part and our attendance was, quite literally, a last minute decision. The weather was again a bit on the warm side with not one single cloud in the sky. Many of the usual car show circuit cars found their way to the event. Several local lowrider clubs also attended. Those guys know how to add bling to a car like no one else with many having some very nice mods to them.

One entertaining moment at the car show came when a slick, black, lowrider Impala let it’s installed police siren roar to life. Not 10 seconds later did a real police car appear from behind us all, lights and siren blaring and heading in the direction of the Impala, who’s owner quickly started side-stepping away from his car. Luckily for him, the police car was heading off on another call Code 3. It did, however, make for a humorous moment as everyone thought the officer was off to nab the Impala’s owner.

Pictures from the car show can be found in our club photo gallery.
