In another family fun day, West Coast Challengers club members and their families met up early in the morning for a Challenger caravan to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA.

The Aquarium of the Pacific hosts a number of exhibits, including the Shark Lagoon, Seal and Sea Lion Habitat, Ray Touch Pool, Sea Otter Habitat, and a wide variety of exhibits of many species of fish, as well as the Lorikeet Forest where the colorful birds are happy to climb aboard a welcome hand that offers food.

Having caravanned to the aquarium, the club members and their families spread out in various directions once inside. It seemed that at every turn, one would meet another small group of members viewing an exhibit to the point where it seemed there was a group at every exhibit.

The Shark Lagoon and the larger tanks where it seems hundreds of different fish lived in harmony with each other were the most popular with club members and their children.

After a few hours of touring the aquarium and seeing all kinds of wonderment, the club members only had to walk a few hundred feet to lunch on the boardwalk, where we sat outside in a enclosed patio and enjoyed trading stories and having a bite to eat.

After lunch, we all went our separate ways, only to make us anxious for the club event. :)

More pictures from our day at the aquarium can be found in the club photo gallery.
